Love Food Hate Waste:

Making Food Waste Reduction a Social Norm

Client: NSW Environment Protection Authority
Date:
July 2023 to June 2024
Services:
Ideation, Content Creation, Community Management, Reporting

As part of the NSW Government’s efforts to reduce food waste and support national sustainability goals, we worked with the NSW Environment Protection Authority to deliver ongoing social media strategy and content creation for the Love Food Hate Waste (LFHW) program from July 2023 to June 2024.

Our team delivered a full-service solution including monthly ideation, content creation, community engagement, and data-driven optimisation across Facebook and Instagram. Each month, we produced a dynamic mix of content—static tiles, carousels, animations, Reels, and Stories—crafted to educate and inspire action among young, high-earning individuals and families.

By leveraging platform-specific techniques like A/B testing, interactive polls, and peak-time scheduling, we successfully positioned LFHW as the go-to resource for food waste reduction in NSW, reaching beyond the “already converted” and making food waste avoidance part of everyday conversations.
